Shaw Trust is a national charity that provides training and work opportunities for people who are disadvantaged in the labour market due to disability, ill health or other social circumstances. They are the largest UK provider of employment services for disabled people.

Shaw Trust in Dunfermline provide a range of training opportunities for disabled people. The Dunfermline site, which is based in Elgin Street Industrial Estate, produces and sells items such as garden furniture and other creative products.
At a recent training session Assist-I.T. worked closely with staff and trainees to explore the opportunities that using e-portfolios could bring to such an organisation.
Staff member Gary Fleming was quickly putting together a digital diary of a recent trip that he and some of the Shaw Trust trainers made to the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh.
The training session was in conjunction with Shaw Trust and Assist-I.T.

After a recent half day training session at the Shaw Trust in Dunfermline, Rab, one of the volunteers put together his e-portfolio.
Rab is a keen computer user and is keen to help others improve their computer skills.
Rab found that creating his own personal e-portfolio using a digital video camera and a computer was great way to advertise his skills…and great fun!
